Who is responsible
This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the French version at https://appcraft31.app/privacy/holdfire.html is the reference text.
Hold Fire is published by AppCraft31, an independent studio based in Toulouse, France. For any question about this policy, write to appcraft31@gmail.com.
This policy describes what the app actually does with data, on iOS and Android.
What stays on your device
Hold Fire stores the following in your device's own storage. None of it is sent to any server, and all of it disappears if you uninstall the app.
Hold Fire is free thanks to advertising, and no in-app purchase removes it. An interstitial may appear every three waves, at the start of the build phase: the game is frozen, and the ad never interrupts a wave in progress. Another may appear when you return to the home screen, after a run ends or when you quit from the pause menu, at most once every three runs and never less than four minutes after another ad. The two rewarded videos — the revive, which lets you resume the wave, and doubling your fragments at the end of a run — only start if you tap their button yourself.
The advertising consent form (UMP) and then, on iPhone, the tracking request (ATT) are shown at launch. Declining never blocks the game: ads are still shown, without personalisation.
- best score (highest wave reached)
- fragments and permanent modules unlocked
- the run in progress, so it can be resumed after an interruption
- settings (language, sound, music, vibration)
- number of finished runs and date of the last review request, so it is not repeated
Advertising
Hold Fire is free and includes the Google AdMob SDK, in the following formats: interstitial and rewarded video. Google AdMob is provided by Google Ireland Limited for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and by Google LLC elsewhere.
In that context, Google may process the device advertising identifier, app-related identifiers and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).
Ad requests are arbitrated by AdMob mediation, which may hand them to other networks whose SDK is embedded in the app: Unity Ads (https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy) and Liftoff Monetize (VungleAdsSDK) (https://liftoff.ai/privacy-policy/). When an ad is awarded to them, those networks in turn process the advertising identifier, app-related identifiers and ad interaction data, under their own privacy policy.
The choice you make in the consent screen applies to those networks just as it does to Google: it is passed along with every ad request.
On iOS, the system asks at first launch whether you allow tracking of your activity. If you decline, no advertising identifier (IDFA) is shared and ads are not personalised.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a GDPR-compliant consent screen is shown through the Google User Messaging Platform. You can accept, decline or customise the use of your data for advertising.
That choice is kept by the Google SDK. The app does not yet offer a screen to reopen the form: uninstalling and reinstalling the app shows it again.
In-app purchases
Hold Fire offers no in-app purchases.
Analytics
Hold Fire sends Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, to measure how runs unfold (wave and sector reached, victory or defeat, revive used, fragments earned, pacts signed) so as to balance the difficulty, and receive crash reports to fix errors. These measurements contain no name or personal content; Firebase does however attach an installation identifier, and the device advertising identifier — on iPhone, only if you accepted the tracking request. They cannot be switched off from within the game.
Network connection
The app uses your connection for loading advertising and its consent form, then sending run statistics and crash reports to Firebase. The game itself plays offline.
Accounts
Hold Fire never asks you to create an account and uses no sign-in service.
Children
Hold Fire is not specifically aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data about them.
Your rights
Since the data described above stays on your device, the most direct way to erase it is to uninstall the app: everything goes with it.
The General Data Protection Regulation further grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. To exercise them, write to appcraft31@gmail.com.
For data processed by the ad networks, those rights are exercised with each of them: Google, Unity Ads and Liftoff Monetize (VungleAdsSDK). Your advertising choices also remain changeable at any time from your device settings.
Changes
This policy may change alongside the app. Any change is published on this page, with its date. Last updated: September 24, 2026.
